Some of the most profitable niches to get involved in are health, wealth, and relationships.

That’s because everyone is always looking to make more money, improve their health, and also their relationships.

Which is why you see you many health and wellness MLMs around promising they can help make you money.

One company in particular is PureTrim.

But I’m sure you’re wondering if this company is legit, or just another MLM company looking to scam people out of their money.

Well in this review, my goal is to help answer this question for you.

Below you will find everything you need to know about how this company operates.  Things like background, cost to join, and how to make money in it.

By the end of this review, you will find out if this business is right for you.

PureTrim Review Summary

Product Name: PureTrim

Founder: Mark Tahiliani a.k.a. Dr Marc

Product Type:  Health and Wellness MLM

Price to join: $29 annual fee + autoship costs

Best For: No one

Summary: PureTrim is just another health and wellness MLM that very few will find success in. Has a monthly autoship cost that will prevent anyone from making a profit in the business. Not only that, but the fact that the founder has been sued for other pyramid schemes should give anyone cause for pause. Basically finding success in most MLMs is very difficult.

Rating: 35/100

What Is PureTrim?

PureTrim is just one of your typical MLM companies that conducts business in the health and wellness niche.

Which happens to be the biggest niches in the MLM industry.

Like  most of them, they have products for you to sell, along with the opportunity to make money by recruiting other people.

From researching, it seems that PureTrim is just a rebranded version of another failed MLM business.

What’s crazy is that I’m seeing more and more companies with this same tactic.

Where they start off as one company, fail, then come back as the same company, but with another name.

From what I gather, the person who founded this company goes by the name of Dr. Marc.

It looks like he was part of a pyramid scheme back in 2011. The case was settled, but like most scammers, the damage had already been done.

However, he was forced to pay thousands of dollars in damages.

PureTrim Products

Like any other MLM company that focuses on health and wellness, you usually get the same type of products.

So when it comes to PureTrim, you will see products that range from shakes to teas. Below is a list of some of their most popular products:

  • PureTrim products ($39 for 10 packets)
  • Liquid multi-vitamin ($39 per month)
  • TrimBar ($29 for 5 bars)
  • 10 day Weight Loss StarterPak ($159)

The one thing I usually notice when it comes to health products being sold are the prices. They tend to cost a lot of money compared to bars you would find in your local health store. I mean what kind of ingredients are in these products to make the prices so high.

Does The PureTrim Work?

Instead of asking if the products work, because it really depends on what your goals are. Focus on if it’s worth the prices.

PureTrim makes the claim that their products go through a variety of clinical studies. But it’s hard to find any evidence of this.

The 4 products they state in these studies are the Mediterranean Wellness Shake, Experience, Daily Complete, and PureGardens.

But for some reason, within the studies, the results were never shown. It’s clear they are hiding something based on their lack of details in their studies.

How You Make Money With PureTrim

Like most MLM companies, there’s only so many ways in which you can make money. Those ways are:

  1. Selling products the company provides
  2. Recruiting others to sell products

How To Get Started With PureTrim

If you’re someone with not a lot of money, please know that it is not cheap to join this MLM. Below you will find the cost to get started with this business:

  • $29 annual fee
  • $400/monthly autoship to qualify for the MLM compensation plan

If that monthly autoship doesn’t scare you, it should. But there is a way for you to reduce it. If you can recruit at least 3 people into the program and they sign up, you can reduce your autoship fee.

PureTrim Compensation Plan

With PureTrim, you have your typical MLM compensation plan.

You’ll see a lot of words, numbers, and a bunch of diagrams on how you and other individuals you bring in are compensated.

But to help you better understand, let’s go over some of them.

Affiliate Ranks

With this plan there are 7 types of ranks you can get promoted to if you meet certain goals. They range from direct sales to recruiting.

You can also get rewarded if you get promoted within the business. Once you reach the second rank, direct promotor, you become eligible for the recruitment commissions.

Retail Commissions

Depending on your rank, you can receive anywhere from 10 to 35%. The higher your ranking status, the more commission you could potentially receive.

And because you get a discount on your wholesale pricing when buying products, these commissions are your profit.

Residual Commissions

For those that are unfamiliar with the term residual, these are the commissions you earn from your downline and compensation structure. Below is a quick view of what it could potentially look like:

(insert pic)

Your personal recruits will be shown on your first level. The people your recruits recruit will be shown on the second level.

And so on and so on. Each level you can earn a percentage of their earnings based on the level. And based on your rank, you can earn a number of different levels.

  • 1 Star Promoters earn 5% on level 1 recruits (personal recruits)
  • 2 Star Promoters earn 5% on level 1 and level 2 recruits
  • 3 Star Promoters earn 5% on level 1 and level 3 recruits
  • 4 Star Promoters earn 5% on level 1 and level 4 recruits
  • 5 Star Promoters earn 5% on level 1 and level 5 recruits
  • President’s Club earn 5% on level 1 to level 6 recruits

Various Bonuses

Once you’re able to reach the 3-Star Promoter rank, you can earn various bonuses for each one. Those bonuses include:

  • All Star Matching Bonus = If you ‘re able to recruit 7 Direct Promoters, you receive $700
  • Fast Start Bonus - if you can recruit a member who qualifies for Direct Promoter Rank, you can earn $100
  • Frontline Bonus - if your Direct Promoter recruits buy any products, you receive a 10% bonus
  • Luxury Car Bonus - this gets put toward your car payments that range from $150 to $1500 depending on rank

What I Like About PureTrim

Unless you just want to see what the shakes and teas taste like, I see nothing to like about this business. It’s pretty much like any other health and wellness MLM that’s trying to get people’s money.

What I Don’t LIke About PureTrim

#1. Expensive Startup

I’m all for investing in your business. But if you’re someone that is just getting started, limiting your expenses is key.

With PureTrim, they have you spending hundreds of dollars before you ever receive a dime.

For a lot of people that are struggling with money, this can be very difficult. So if you are someone that is struggling for money, I would think really hard before jumping into this particular MLM.

#2. Lack of Trust With Founder

Look, if you can’t trust the person that started the company, why would you ever think of joining.

Especially when there is a history of scamming people with other MLM businesses.

Also, the fact that Tahiliani was sued back in 2001 by the FTC for another pyramid scheme called BigSmart, should make you rethink your decision.

#3. Autoship

I think the biggest negative to this program is their monthly autoship. Where you receive products that you have to sell every month.

And regardless if you sell the products or not, every month you will receive a new batch of products.

Now this may not be an issue for someone that’s been with the company for a few years.

But for someone that is just getting started, more than likely you won’t be selling a lot of products right away.

So each month you can expect to have a huge inventory of products that you have to sell regardless of your experience level.

Is PureTrim A Scam?

I would be lying if I said PureTrim was a scam. That’s because they do have products to sell which is something I look for when it comes to MLMs.

But if you’re someone that is looking to start a business, I would never recommend this company to you.

A big reason for this is, due to the low success rate. If you’re new to business, you can easily find yourself struggling.

You need to be in an environment that focuses on teaching you how to start your own business. Unfortunately PureTrim doesn’t do this.
