What Is Nikken?
A Little Background
In 1975, a man named Isamu Masuda started a Japanese Multi-Level Marketing company name Nikken.
But in 1988, the company was moved to California. They are now located in 40 countries across the globe.
According to Isamu, he believes there are “5 Pillars of health” which is shown below:
- Healthy Body
- Healthy Finances
- Healthy Family
- Healthy Society
- Healthy Mind
The purpose of these 5 Pillars is to help build awareness to people who struggle with living a healthy lifestyle.
Which is why Niken considers themselves as a Research & Development Company which has invested 40 years into their mission to help people.
Since the goal is to help individuals live a healthier lifestyle, Nikken has a wide variety of different health and wellness products.
Many of these products help promote sleep and good health by using a unique feature called “magnetic technology.”
Based on their research and development team, they found that this technology can help correct unhealthy imbalances in the body.
Thus allowing the body to reach optimum health on a daily basis.
They believed in this so much that they created a product which was the first one created, called the Magsteps Magnetic Insoles.
It was designed to help provide relief for those with sore feet.
Along with there magnetic insoles, their other product line include:
- KenkoTouch ($199) - A deep tissue and patented magnetic massage machine
- Kalki Watch ($123.75) - Unique watch with built-in magnets to keep your time and health at the same time
- Milana Set ($97.50) - Cord necklace & earrings infused with crystals and most importantly their “Kenko Magnetic Technology”
If you haven’t noticed, all of their products include their magnetic technology. And this happens to be just a small piece of their product line.
Being in business for over 40 years, they have been able to expand their product line to include accessories, nutritional supplements, skincare, sleep aids, and equipment.

Do Their Products Work?
I would be lying if I said I’ve tried any of these products myself. But based on my research, I was able to find out some info…
Maybe it works
As someone that has worked in the health and fitness industry, you have to be careful with many of the products available.
While one product can work well for one person, for another person it may have no effect.
The whole “magnetic thing” Nikken seems to be selling comes off as really vague and subjective.
The best way to know if something works is to just try it out yourself.
I will say this however…
Their products do seem a bit overpriced. Which makes me think that there is a bit of overhyping of what their products can do for people.
This is especially the case when there is very little evidence that their products even work.
So instead of questioning the effectiveness of their products, I wonder if their products are worth the cost of purchasing.
There may be reviews about some of their products.
Be Careful with taking any of these reviews seriously since many of these reviews probably come from Nikken distributors.
And remember, their goal is to sell the products so it benefits them to say good things about them.
But at least you’re doing your research before you decide to invest any of your hard earned money on them.
How You Make Money With Nikken
Like most MLM companies, there’s only so many ways in which you can make money. Those ways are:
- Selling products the company provides
- Recruiting others to sell products
How To Get Started With Nikken
The one thing you don’t have to worry about Nikken is the ease in which you can join the company.
Other than the $99 one-time “Business Success Suite,” there’s pretty no barrier to joining (sarcasm).
So what is this Business Success Suite?
It’s basically a starter kit that includes a website personalized just for you. This site will be used for customers that are looking to make a purchase from you.
You have a whole support system at your disposal along with eligibility to start earning retail commission.
If you’ve ever joined other MLMs, then you’re aware of how some require you to purchase product packages that can cost you upwards of a hundred bucks.
But with Nikken, you don’t have to worry about that.
However, there is a monthly autoship cost where every month you will need a minimum of 100 PPV (Personal Point Volume) points.
Achieving this will keep you active and eligible for commissions.
Nikken Compensation Plan
I’m not gonna lie, MLM compensation plans can be pretty difficult to understand, and that also goes for Nikken.
But I will break it down for you to understand.
There are 7 different ranking levels which will determine the type of commission you will receive.
In order to move up in the rankings, you will have to make sure you are bringing new people into the business.
This will help you build a deeper downline which will help increase your ranking.
One of the negatives about this compensation plan is when you purchase the starter kit, where you will only be eligible for 20% of the retail profit.
You’re not allowed to earn from overrides or other bonuses when starting off.
But if you can recruit people into the business, this will allow you to be paid in many other ways. Recruiting will also allow you to move up to the next level.
What I LIke About Nikken
1. Long History
The fact that they have been in business for over 40 years gives them at the very least some credibility.
This is especially the case since most MLMs usually last a few years. If this company was a scam, there is no way they would stay in business.
It would have already been shut down by regulators for pyramid scheme tactics.
2. Reasonable Startup Cost
Compared to other MLMs, you can expect to easily pay a few hundred dollars to get started.
And in some cases, you can expect to pay up to a thousand dollars. But with Nikken, there is a one time $99 fee along with a monthly autoship
What I Don’t Like About Nikken
I mentioned earlier that in order to move up in ranking, you have to recruit people into the business.
The higher your rank, the more money you could possibly earn. Now if this sounds like other MLMs, then you would be correct.
Because just like other MLMs, Nikken also relies on the traditional way of recruiting:
- Creating a list of people you plan on speaking to about the business (family,, friends, co-workers, neighbors, etc…)
- Try to get in touch with as many people as possible. Regardless of how close you are with this person. People will be wondering why you’re reaching out now after so many years of silence.
- Making appointments to meetup
- Thus leading you to host meetups at your house
Selling is the name of the game, and this will be your job if you plan on building up the downline to a sustainable level.
Now keep in mind!
I’m not saying that having to recruit is illegal or anything, because if done effectively, it could reward you with a lot of money.
But what I am saying is that many people struggle because they lack the skills to sell to people about a business opportunity.
Most people don’t share the same passion you do, and most likely aren’t interested in starting a business themselves.
So you have to find people that both possess sales skills, and also the motivation to build a business.
This is what causes so many people to fail at MLMs, and then call them scams after the fact.
But many of them aren’t scams, they just require a level of expertise.
So when it comes to Nikken, you can expect many to fail due to lack of knowledge and training.
2. Questionable Products
If magnets were the cure all, you would see this implemented in most health and wellness companies.
The fact that there is no evidence that suggests that magnets can cure all your health issues makes you question it.
I know based on Nikken’s research and development team the theory of magnets make sense.
But in reality, good health comes down to more than just magnets. Healthy eating and exercise are huge contributors to improved healthy living.
Unless you are someone that has felt the benefits of these products, I probably wouldn’t recommend that you go out selling this stuff to people.
Because then you may be selling people false hope.
3. Most people fail!
If you’re still having trouble believing everything I just told you about Nikken, then maybe you need to take a look into Nikken’s finances.
Below is a screenshot of Nikken’s Income Disclosure Statement 2016:
From the looks of it, if you’re looking to make full time income with Nikken, then you want to be at Royal Diamond Level.
Distributors made on average $102,625.05 in one year.
What’s crazy is that amount accounts for less than 1% of people who earned that income.
The next highest income was at Diamond level where on average distributors made $18,322.23 in a year.
So unless you’re thinking about doing this business on the side, it makes absolutely no sense to pursue this full time.
Basically most people in this business aren’t making enough money to change their life for the better financially.
Is Nikken A Scam?
Nikken isn’t a pyramid scheme therefore it isn’t a scam. They do offer products to sell which is a good indicator that you’re dealing with a legit MLM business.
However, finding success with Nikken will be almost impossible.
If less than 1% of their distributors are making enough to live comfortably, then I see no point in joining the business.
