Is NeoLife A Scam? – Does Reputation Matter?
When discussing any MLM business, it’s rare that you find one that’s been around more than 2 years.
That’s because many of them tend to be scams.
But what if I told you that there is one company that has been around for 75 years? Would you believe me?
Well this is the case when it comes to NeoLife. That being said, many still wonder if they are a scam or not.
In this article I plan on going over everything you need to know about this company.
Things like its background information, cost to join, and how much you will be compensated if you decide to join them.
By the end of this review, you should have a better feel for if this business is for you or not.
NeoLife Review Summary
Product Name: NeoLife
Owner: Jerry Brassfield
Business: Food Nutrition Supplements
Price to join: $49 + $440 to $1530 starter kit (optional)
Best For: No one
Summary: NeoLife is a MLM company that has been around for 75 years.
They operate in the nutrition market and have had a lot of success with direct selling.
That being said, I wouldn’t recommend joining this company not because I think it’s a scam, but due to the fact that many fail when joining MLMs.
You’re more likely to lose money with their pay to play system and auto shipment requirements.

Frequently Asked Questions
1.) What is NeoLife?
NeoLife is another Multi Level Marketing company that’s been in the industry for 75 years.
Founded by Jerry Brassfield, before the company became NeoLife, it was first called Golden NeoLife Diamite International.
They started branding it NeoLife in 2013. Though you still may hear people refer to still as its former name.
Jerry has a lot of experience when it comes to direct selling, and has been very successful at it.
2.) How do you make money with them?
Like with many MLMs, you get paid for recruiting people into the business helping build up your downline.
Building your downline also provides you with various bonuses within the company.
Upon signing up, you also have to pay a fee, which gives you authorization to sell NeoLife products for a commission.
3.) What are the red flags?
You would think that after being in business for 75 years that there would be some flags.
But to be honest, their longevity is the very reason why I wasn’t able to find any flags.
However, there does seem to be some issue with NeoLife’s compensation plan which may lead to problems in the future.
Primarily with their autoshipment.
Does NeoLife Operate Like A Pyramid Scheme?
If you’re unaware by now, pyramid schemes happen to be illegal in all countries around the world.
If you’re wondering why, well it’s because the only people that make money with it are the people at the top.
Everyone else is stuck losing money and eventually leaving the business within a year.
The fact that NeoLife has been around for 75 year shows you that they understand what having a good reputation is all about.
But does that make NeoLife a good company to work for?
My answer may surprise you. So for those that are unsure of how a pyramid scheme operates. It’s where recruiting is the only means of earning an income.
There are no products offered by the company, thus in order to sustain the business, you must recruit.
The great thing about NeoLife is that they do offer products for their distributors to sell and make money with.
However, there’s this thing called autoshipment.
Where a company requires its distributors to purchase products every month, costing hundreds of dollars.
This is something NeoLife has to be careful with as this could land them in hot water with regulators.
Success Will Be Hard To Come By
So if I told you that a particular company was legit, and that you didn’t have to worry about being scammed if you joined.
What would be the reason why so many people fail despite the legitimacy of the company?
Well the answer would be due to most people losing more money than they make.
If you take a look at the chart below, you will see how many people in their company are actually making money.
Please keep in mind that the chart only shows the earners that are making at least $500 a year.
By looking at the chart, do you notice how many people are making less than $15,497 a year?
That would be 91.7% of the people in the company making less than that amount.
So if you were thinking about doing this full time, the chances of that happening are very slim.
As you go further up, even less make the amount of money you can feed a family with. So it doesn’t look good for those looking to earn full time income.
Getting Started With NeoLife
How Much To Join NeoLife?
The fee for joining the NeoLife club is $49 at signup. But if you thought that was it, you’d be mistaken.
In order to get access to the compensation plan, you have to also buy a starter kit that isn’t cheap.
Below is a list of all their different packs you can purchase:
- Builder Kit - $40
- Manager Kit - $785
- Senior Manager Kit - $1530
Basically the more expensive the package you buy, the more you could potentially make.
And this is what I mean when i say pay to play, which I mentioned earlier in this article.
This is something I really don’t like about companies who have this in their compensation plans.
This is a huge contributor as to why people lose so much more money than they make.
As someone that is just starting out, this can put you in an early whole, thus leading one to be discouraged very quickly.
On top of the starter kits they make you purchase, you also have to factor in the monthly autoshipment.
This requires distributors to purchase products every month just to be eligible to receive commissions.
The cost of this is at least $100 per month.
NeoLife Compensation Plan
If you’re looking for a simple plan that tells you everything you need to know about what you will make, then you’re looking at the wrong company.
MLM companies make their compensation plans complicated for a reason.
So I plan on breaking it down to help you out a bit:
Affiliate ranks tend to be the norm within MLMs, and NeoLife happens to have about 16 different ranks you can achieve.
As you hit certain goals, you will move from one rank to the other. And when I say goals, I mean the level of activity from your downline.
The more they sell and recruit, the higher in rankings you go.
Below is a list of all the rankings at NeoLife:
- Senior Manager
- Emerald Director
- Sapphire Director
- 1 Ruby Director
- 2 Ruby Director
- 3 Ruby Director
- 4 Ruby Director
- 5 Ruby Director
- 1 Diamond Director
- 2 Diamond Director
- 3 Diamond Director
- 4 Diamond Director
- 5 Diamond Director
In order to reach the last rank, you have to recruit and maintain 18 Director level recruits and generate 500,000 GV a month.
If you think that you have what it takes to put in the work to reach that level, just know that most people don’t even get past the first few ranks.
You receive this commission when you sell directly to customers.
The amount that you make depends on your GV, which is Group Volume minus the amount of products that are sold by your downline.
Your commission amount is dependent on how much GV your downline sells.
Below is a list of commission you get based on your GV:
- 250 GV a month = 3% commissions
- 500 GV a month = 5% commissions
- 1000 GV a month = 10% commissions
- 2000 GV a month = 15% commissions
- 4000 GV a month = 20% commissions
This is the money you receive when your downline recruits or sells products. NeoLife does this at a unilevel structure and looks like the following below:
Like I mentioned earlier, the amount that you make is dependent on your GV.
Below you will find what you can earn based on your downline activity:
- Generate 250 GV and get 3% commission
- Generate 500 GV and get 5% commission
- Generate 1000 GV and get 10% commission
- Generate 2000 GV and get 15% commission
- Generate 4000 GV and get 20% commission
It’s important to understand that most of the money will be made through retail and residual commissions.
But there are bonuses to be made which are shown below:
- Leadership Development Bonus
- Network Development Bonus
- New Director Bonus
- First Order Bonus
- Rank Achievement Bonus
- Car Bonus Travel Bonus
NeoLife’s video gives a brief description of each bonus.
Sometimes I can tell a company is legit by the amount of products they have to offer. And with NeoLife, they have a wide variety of products.
What you can expect from this products are listed below:
- Health Packs
- Weight Management
- Heart Health
- Digestive Health
- Energy and Fitness
- Mens Health
- Womens Health
- Childrens Health
- Sharper Mind Bone and Joint Health
- Vitamins and Minerals
- Home Care
- Personal Care
- Organic Skin Care
My experience with reviewing MLMs is that they usually have only a few items for distributors to sell.
This makes earning money very difficult. But with NeoLife, you have an array of products to choose from.
My only issue would be that there are no prices listed, which makes me raise my eyebrows.
Maybe because they are expensive as hell like most MLMs marketing in the health and wellness niche.
You usually find that the products cost 3 maybe 4 times as much as competitors. As a distributor, this could make getting sales a bit tricky.
What I Like About NeoLife
Even though I recommend that you don’t join NeoLife, there are some things I like about them.
Longevity: Most MLMs come and quickly go. It usually doesn’t take no more than 2 years before you see the company fail.
Some even come back under a new name, only to fail again.
But with NeoLife, they’ve been around for 75 years which is a testament to their hard work.
So more than likely you’re dealing with a company that plans to be here for the foreseeable future.
Variety of different products: Finding success with any MLM is difficult enough. But not having a lot of products for customers to choose from can make it even more difficult.
Well you don’t have to worry about that with NeoLife which at the very least gives you a chance to find success.
What I Don’t LIke About NeoLife
Expensive: they make you think that $49 is all you have to spend to get started with the company.
But you’ll quickly get pressured into purchasing start kits that cost at least $400 or $1500.
Autoshipment cost: this is one method that all potential distributors need to watch out for before joining.
Being told that you have to purchase products every month regardless if you need them or not, is morally wrong.
You could easily find yourself paying well over $1000 each month. And in some cases, this could be a sign that you’re dealing with a pyramid scheme disguised as a legit company.
Expensive Products: it’s hard to tell if NeoLife’s products are affordable or not. The fact that they hide their prices makes you pause a bit.
My guess would be that they are overpriced which is why they aren’t being shown.
Is NeoLife A Scam?
Regardless of everything I don’t like about this company, I would be lying if I said this company was a scam.
The fact that they have been around for 75 years tells you that they operate a legit business.
However, that doesn’t mean I would recommend anyone join this company.
There are just too many negatives, and the biggest one being the low success rate. I know too many people (including myself), who have failed miserably with MLMs.
They are not meant for you to succeed.
They are meant to take whatever money they can get from you before you wise up and decide to leave.
So again, I recommend that you find other means to make money.
Where you’re getting good value from every dollar that you spend, and that you’re learning how to build a sustainable business.
