Maskcara Beauty Review Summary
Product Name: Maskcara Beauty
Founder: Cara Brook
Product Type: Cosmetics and Skin Care MLM
Price to join: $199 or $399 plus $9.95/month
Best For: Those who like selling cosmetic products
Summary: Maskcara Beauty is one of many MLMs that market and sell cosmetic skin care products. The fact that there are so many other similar companies, let’s you know that there is a demand for it. The problem however, is that there isn’t much evidence of people making money from these types of programs. Except for those who started the company from the beginning. If you’re someone who thinks they can find success in this line a business, then by all means go fit. I think there are better ways in which you could make money.
What Is Maskcara Beauty?
If you were to research what are the most popular MLM niches today, skin care would definitely be up there.
That’s because most MLMs target women, and we all know how important skin care is to them.
Which brings us to ask the question, what is Maskcara Beauty?
Founded back in 2013 by Cara Brook, Maskcara Beauty was created to help women become better versions of themselves.
She did this by marketing her products to women who wanted to feel beautiful without taking away too much of their natural beauty.
So she thought to create a multi-level marketing company that markets all different types of cosmetic products.
Maskcara Beauty Cosmetic Products
When you look at all the different cosmetic brands out in the market, there isn’t that much difference between them all.
Usually it’s the bigger brands that get most of the recognition.
Company brands like:
- Mary Kay
So when it comes to Maskcara Beauty, don’t expect that much difference from the rest.
However, they do offer a wide range of products for your eyes, face, and skin. They also have products like brushes and tools.
The best product some would say are their eye shadows. They range anywhere from $12 to $14.
They also have illuminators, bronzers, and setting powders that can go as high as $16. To view their whole product line, you can take a look at their product page.
How You Make Money With Maskcara Beauty
Like most MLM companies, there’s only so many ways in which you can make money. Those ways are:
- Selling products the company provides
- Recruiting others to sell products
Maskara Beauty is no different. As a distributor or artist, you are given the right to sell their products I’ve listed above and more.
If you want to make even more money, they allow you to recruit others to do the same. In fact, they encourage it, like most mlm businesses do.
How To Get Started With Maskcara Beauty
So in order to be apart of this business, it’s a must that you sign up with a current artist. Therefore, you will be a part of someone’s downline.
I figure this is done to help build up current members teams without them having to do too much work.
Once you’ve done that, there is an application process you have to go through.
You can either fill out the application on-site, or you can choose to enroll with an artist as their downline.
After filling out the application, you then have to purchase a kit for yourself.
You have the option of choosing either the Basic Kit which is $199, or the Pro Artist Kit for $399.
It’s important to know that once you’ve chosen a kit, there is no upgrading or downgrading. Here’s an inside look into each kit:
Inside the Basic Artist Kit:
- 25 Catalogs
- 25 Host Brochures
- 25 Opportunity Brochures
- 25 Post Cards
- 18 IIID Foundation Singles
- 1 Powder Single
- 2 Brushes / 1 Perfector
- 3 Compacts
Inside the Pro Artist Kit:
- 25 Catalogs
- 25 Host Brochures
- 25 Opportunity Brochures
- 25 Post Cards
- 21 IIID Foundation Singles
- 12 Eyeshadow Singles
- 2 Powder Singles
- 6 Brushes / 1 Perfector
- 4 Compacts
- 20 Temporary Tattoos
- Milk Moisturizer
If you thought your were done with costs, then think again. There is also a monthly back office fee of $9.95.
This gives you the necessary tools to help build your business to make sure you hit the ground running.
Maskcara Beauty Compensation Plan
Maskcara Beauty has a training period which you have to go through before getting started. The requirements for this training is that you earn $800 in total commission sales.
After you do that, you can then graduate. There are no deadlines when trying to reach the $800 requirement
Each product earns you a commission of about 20%, which is lower than similar MLMs.
Each product comes out to an average of $14, which is about $7 per sale. Based on this info, it should take you more than a 100 sales to get to that.
One thing that really disappointed me was that commission percentages don’t increase as you move up in rank.
However, once you’re done with training, your commission on sales increase to about 40%.
Also, keep in mind that your rates after you graduate will depend on your weekly and monthly commission volume (CV).
Here is a list of their rates:
- 1-319 CV: 20% (on SV) weekly
- 320-639 CV: +5% (on SV) monthly
- 640-1599 CV: +5% (on SV) monthly
- 1600-3199 CV: +5% (on SV) monthly
- 3200+ CV: +5% (on SV) monthly
Recruiting is where the real money is supposed to be made. And this can only happen once you’ve passed your training period.
This gives you incentive to get through your training at a much quicker pace.
So while you’re focused on completing your training, you can still earn income by selling their products.
For those that do pass the training, what you really want to know is, how much can you make recruiting?
Unlike retails sales, your rank helps determine the commissions you receive. The more you recruit, the higher your rank.
Here are a list of the ranks from lowest to highest. Also, the percentage amount you earn for every team sale:
- Elite HAC-ER: 3% CV
- Top HAC-ER: 6% CV
- Artist Ambassador: 10% CV
- Elite Ambassador: 13% CV
- Top Ambassador: 19% CV
- Influencer: 21% CV
- Elite Influencer: 24% CV
- Top Influencer: 27% CV
- Executive Director: 31% CV

What I Like About Maskcara Beauty
Although I don’t recommend that you join Maskcara Beauty, there is one thing I kinda like about their company.
#1. Quality Products
With many cosmetic mlm companies, usually the products they sell tend to be of high quality. This is also the case when it comes to Maskcara Beauty.
So even though you probably won’t make a ton of cash with this business, you can at least feel good about the products you’re selling.
What I Don’t LIke About Maskcara Beauty
#1. Cost Of Getting Started
When first getting started, you have to pay at least $200 to get started. On top of that, there is a $9.95 monthly cost.
Now in order to make any profit, you have to make sure you sell everything in your kit, and will have to invest in more as you grow.
This can be good for those who are masters at selling, but if not, it can be a real struggle.
#2. No Income Disclosure Available
One thing I see with many reputable MLMs, is their income disclosure. This is given so you have an idea of what people in the company are making.
But with Maskcara Beauty, I couldn’t find no such disclosure.
This tells me that either no one is making money, or they just don’t want to reveal it.
I have to believe it’s the former, because why wouldn’t a company market the income of their earners. It’s a great marketing tool to recruit others.
#3. Suspect Training Period
When it comes to MLMs, the money is made through recruiting.
But when it comes to Maskcara Beauty, you have to complete a training period before you can enjoy such benefits.
What makes it worse is that you don’t see this with most MLMs. So this is a huge negative for me.
Is Maskcara Beauty A Scam?
With all that said, Maskcara Beauty is definitely a legit company. One can make money through the selling of products, which is key to the legitimacy of a company.
Also, they’re products are of high quality, which makes selling these products ok to do.
However, there’s no way I could recommend this business to anyone. Especially if you’re someone that is looking to create a full-time income.
The reason being is that there is no proof that anyone is even making money from it.
In order for me to trust that I can make money in a business, I need to know that others are making money.
So if I were you, I would definitely look for other ways to make money.
