So in this article, I plan on doing just that. Not only that, but I will be breaking down the process of how making money online works.

So let’s get right into it.

How Making Money Online Works

Before we get into the ways in which you can make money online, it’s important first to understand it.

The process of making money online is pretty simple. But what makes it difficult is the lack of knowledge and the level of effort needed in order to succeed at it.

Below is a quick preview of how making money online works. Yes, a level of effort and tools are required to put it all together.

But this is the general idea of the process overall.

  • Choose an interest
  • Build a site
  • Attract visitors
  • Earn revenue

Choose An Interest

If you could get paid to do anything right now, what would it be. This is a questions I ask a lot of people when the topic of making money online comes up.

I mean if you’re going to make money, wouldn’t you rather make money doing something you love.

That would be the perfect situation because you would wake up every morning with a sense of purpose.

Not only that, but making money online has its rough days, so it helps that whatever it is you’re doing, you’re passionate about it.

This is the first step to making money online.

Build A Site

If you’re a business without a site, then you’re missing out on a huge opportunity to improve your financial situation.

With so many people using the internet on a daily basis, making money online has never been more lucrative.

Just think about how often you shop online for things you want.

You’re entering someone’s site to go and make that purchase. So why not take part in the action?

The internet has over 4 billion users and continues to grow. As a site owner, all you need is a small percentage of those users to make incredible income.

So having a site is a must if you’re serious about making money online.

Attract Visitors

Once you have an established site, learning how to attract people to that site is crucial.

This is probably the most important part in the make money online process. No money can be made if no one is entering your site.

So how do you attract visitors to your site? Great question! This is done through the creation of content.

And when I say content, I mean:

  • Blogging
  • Videos
  • Pictures
  • Audio

Pretty much anything that people are looking for to satisfy their searching needs. Now there’s a lot more to learning how to drive traffic to your site, but know that creating content is a very important part in doing so.

Earn Revenue

Once you’re able to get people to your site, it’s now time to monetize this traffic.

This allows you to come up with multiple ways in which you can increase the revenue of your site. Take a look at sporting events like the NFL.

They have networks that will pay them billions of dollars just to broadcast their games.

This is because the NFL is able to drive so much traffic to their product. Networks are willing to pay them whatever to grab a piece of their audience.

Once your able to gain an audience, it’s totally up to you on how you want to make money from them.

Next I will show you 10 ways in which you can make money online, since you can see that traffic is the bloodline to your success.

1. Affiliate Marketing

If you ask most people who are making money online, they would probably tell you they started with affiliate marketing.

The reason being, it’s technically the easiest way to make money online.

Basically all you have to do is put a link on your site, and if someone clicks on the link and makes a purchase, you receive a commission.

Of course all this is dependent on how much traffic you have coming to your site.

Also, keep in mind that learning how to make money with affiliate marketing is a lot harder than putting a link on your site.

You have to learn and understand how to convince your audience to click on the link and actually make a purchase.

That’s why it’s important to get proper training to help you understand how to help your audience to a sell.

2. Ads

If affiliate marketing is the easiest way to make money online, then having ads on your site is the second easiest.

All that is required is for you to put banner ads on your site with the permission of the product or service your promoting.

That being said, some would argue that it’s not the most effective way to earn income online.

With so many people using ad blockers, it can be difficult making money with it. Also, you need a hell of a lot of traffic to make decent money with ads.

Depending on which network you partner up with, the amount of money you can make will vary.

But if you’re looking to make passive income, there’s not a lot of ways better than putting up a simple ad on your site, and watch the money flow in.

But like I said before, it’s all dependent on the amount of people that visit your site. No visitors, no ad revenue.

3. Online Courses

Now if you’re looking to make some serious coin, then online courses is the way to go.

Remember, with ads, you get a very small percentage of revenue, and it requires tens of thousands of views to make decent money.

With affiliate marketing, you get a percentage of commissions for each sale that is made through your link.

But with online courses, you get to keep 100 percent of sales made for your courses.

Courses can range from $19 to $1000. It all depends on the type of course you’re creating, and the level of effort you put into it.

But the price you set is totally up to you, and you get to keep 100% of the profits.

Creating online courses is a growing trend in the online world. So you should definitely look into it as you gain more experience.

Do keep in mind however, that courses tend to be very time consuming.

Making sure you have the right tools to build the course, and supply your audience with valuable content is key.

And if you’re including video, you need to make sure that it is quality.

Remember, you have to justify the price you set for your courses to your audience. People will pay for high quality content.

So if you don’t mind the work it takes to create courses, trust me, your bank account will thank you.

4. eBooks

If you’re someone that likes to write, creating an eBook is a great idea. It can easily be created within google docs or word, and then exported as a PDF.

They don’t sell for all that much, but it can be a great way to get started as a blogger.

You can use it to promote a product or service you are selling on your site.

Even if you don’t have a website, you can go directly on Amazon and work on reaching millions of people who may be interested.

Or it can be a great way to improve your brand overall. The length of the eBook is totally up to you.

5. Membership Sites

Offering a membership to access your site can be a great way to generate income. It usually works best if you already have an audience.

I mean it wouldn’t make sense to charge someone a monthly fee if they are the only member in the community.

That’s because people want to interact with other like minded individuals.

So if you already have an audience built up, the most important thing about membership sites is updating content.

Remember, in order for people to pay for your service, you have to offer them valuable content.

Videos can be a great way to add value to your site.

People love seeing the person behind the scene of what they are consuming.

The downside as you can see with membership sites is the maintenance that is required to run it.

But if you don’t mind that part, then you should definitely think about making your site open to paying members.

6. YouTube

Google is the number one search engine in the world.

The second largest is YouTube. And there’s no coincidence that Google happens to own YouTube.

But because video search is so popular, YouTube can be a great way to build an audience and make money from this audience.

Depending on the amount of subscribers you have, and how long your videos are, YouTube will pay you to show ads on your channel.

There are many You tubers who make a full time income doing this.

But like all platforms that are owned by someone else, there are algorithms that can alter the amount of money you make.

So it’s crucial to understand the kind of content you are providing, and make sure you stay ahead of the changes that tend to occur within YouTube.

7. Offering Your Services

If you have a specific skill that you think would be valuable to your audience, then offering your services can be an awesome way to earn income.

Whether it’s counseling, mentoring, or anything fitness related, having a site that allows people access to this service can be financially rewarding.

Just remember that you are one person, and that you can service only so many people.

Many people that offer this type of service tend to get caught up in the amount of money they can make, and forget that quality matters.

If you’re stretching yourself too thin, then the quality of your service will suffer.

If you’re getting a lot of request for your services, you may want to think about increasing the price and take on a set amount of clients.

8. Freelance Writing

There are thousands of site owners looking for good writers to write content for their site.

So if you are someone that loves to write, this can be a good side gig for you.

They have places like Fiverr and Upwork, that allow experienced writers to find online writing jobs.

Remember, your reputation is on the line here, so you want to make sure that you do good work for each client.

If not, it will be hard for you to find gigs in the future.

9. Ecommerce

Selling products online have become such a huge business. Just look at Amazon.

They are pretty much on top of the mountain when it comes to selling any and everything on the internet.

If you’re someone with their own site, there are many tools out there like shopify that will allow you to create your own eCommerce site.

But if you’re new and looking to learn how it works, creating your very own Amazon store is a great place to start.

10. Podcasting

Back in the days, you had to work with a radio station to let your voice be heard.

Now, podcast allows you to share your voice from the comfort of your own home.

If you feel you have a voice for radio, then getting on podcast is a great way to earn money online. People can listen to you from wherever they are.

As long as you can build an audience, you can get sponsors that will pay you to advertise to your audience.

How I Earn My Money Online

In 2018, I finally became a Six Figure Business, and it only took 27 months to get there. This allowed me to leave my part time job, and become a full time affiliate marketer.
